By the cooperation of other institutions and research units of Qing studies, the IQH jointly held The International Symposium Marking the Bicentenary of the First British Mission to China, the 8th, 9th ,10th,11th and 12th International Symposium of Qing History, and The International Academic Symposium of Eighteenth-centuryChinaand the World.

In the International Symposium of Economic Globalization and the Trend of Chinese Culture, jointly held by the IQH with the China Yanhuang Culture Research Institute, the IQH faculty had their academic dialogues with scholars from other disciplines: sociology, politics, law and economics etc.


In April 21, 2007, the Symposium on Publication of History of Neo-Confucianism in Qing Dynasty was held successfully in Yuanmingyuan Park.The three-volume-book was the production of a key project of Institute of Qing History.

In April 28, 2007, Colloquium on Starting Publication of New Historiography was held in Yuanmingyuan Park. Some professors of the Institute of Qing History participated the initiating of the new periodical. And Professor Yang Nianqun was the chief-editor of the first volume it.

In September 4, 2010, the Symposium on ¡°Sino-Japan Relations in Late Qing and Early Republican China ¡ª¡ª Study on Friendship between Sun Yat-sen and Umeya Sh¨­kichi and Their Times¡± was held successfully in Campus. 

From August 9 to 11, 2010, the International Symposium on ¡°Politics in Qing Dynasty and National Identification¡± was held successfully in Beijing. More than 60 scholars from United States, Germany, Japan, P Portugal, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan attended. The conference aimed to activate the academic research on Political history of Qing Dynasty, and was a positive response to the influential trend of ¡°New Qing History¡± in America.

An international conference on ¡°The Abdication of the Qing Emperor and the Founding of Republic of China¡± was held in Beijing from 16 to 18 June 2012. The IQH hosted the conference. More than 90 scholars from Chinese Academy of Social Science, Beijing University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, National Chengchi University (Taiwan), Washington University, University of Akron, University of Texas at Austin, Arizona State University, University of Cincinnati, etc. attended and more than 60 papers were presented.
